Alexandra Park, Queens Wood Highgate Wood circular walk
This
walk takes in the disused railway line to Alexandra Park with its
spectacular views from its viaduct.
Watchpoints:
1. Start from Cherry Tree Wood, take the Fordington Road exit and
then the passage on Lanchester Road.
2. At the exit to Highgate Wood turn left and take the railway walk
under the bridge to its far end where the subway brings you to a footbridge
over a school.
3. After viewing the Palace and Park, exit along Park Avenue North
then South. Across Park Road take the footpath past the tennis courts
and into Queens Wood.
4. Take any route up the valley, past the pond and exit by the cafe.
Take any route through the wood to complete the circuit.
